Gresik – Irsyad Amiludin (39) died in a prostration position while performing the congregational zuhur prayer at the Al Ittihad Mosque, Sidowungu Village, Menganti District, Gresik Regency, East Java on Monday, November 20, 2023.
Seen through the video post on the Instagram account @mochdaroini, Irsyad was still in a perfect prostration position when the people checked on his condition around 11.43 WIB.
When found lifeless, Irsyad was wearing a blue t-shirt and denim pants. He also brought a backpack placed in front of him. The residents then laid Irsyad’s body and covered it with a cloth.
Information gathered, Irsyad had followed the congregational zuhur prayer for two rak’ah. However, he did not rise from prostration when the imam recited the takbir to start the third rak’ah.
Menganti Police Chief, Iptu Roni Ismullah, said that he received the report around 12.30 WIB. His team immediately went to the location and checked on Irsyad’s condition.
“Officers have visited the location and declared that Irsyad’s death was natural, not due to violence,” said Iptu Roni when confirmed by the media on Monday.
Roni added that this sad news could serve as an example or a learning material for Muslim communities who are still blessed and given the opportunity to live in this world.
After that, the police and residents immediately brought Irsyad’s body to the Menganti Community Health Center. Then, the police contacted the victim’s family to pick him up.
“The victim was evacuated by officers to the health center in Menganti, and then picked up by his family for immediate burial,” said Roni.
Finally, Roni revealed that Irsyad Amiludin, who was found dead in a prostration position, worked as a salesperson in his daily life.
