President Prabowo Subianto’s official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025, received a warm welcome from Indonesian elementary school children residing in Jeddah. The children greeted the President with enthusiasm, waving flags and chanting, “Welcome, Mr. President!” What started as a formal reception quickly turned into a joyous and emotional gathering as President Prabowo engaged with the children, smiling and taking photos with them. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, proudly introduced himself as the son of Indonesian Embassy staff in Jeddah. Before continuing his visit, President Prabowo took a moment to share a simple yet heartfelt message with the children, encouraging them to focus on their studies.
The encounter was not only touching for the children but also for members of the Indonesian community in Jeddah, such as Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Hanif expressed his gratitude for the President’s visit and shared his hopes for Indonesia’s future. Accompanied by high-ranking Indonesian officials, President Prabowo’s visit strengthened the bond with the Indonesian community abroad. It was a diplomatic initiative that also left a lasting impact on the youth in Saudi Arabia, inspiring them in their educational pursuits.
